Rent our Post Facilities

Planning a special event? A wedding reception, a birthday party, a Quenciera, a big meeting, a training session, or a school or family reunion? Our main hall at our Post here in Los Alamitos, California, can accommodate you and your guests!  All events welcome: Weddings, Birthdays, Retirements, Company Parties, Meetings, etc. Available is a commercial kitchen and electric steam table, 100' HDTV projection system, professional photographer with 3 video camera system, auxiliary bars and extra bartenders. (Picture coming soon)

Our hall is rated for 232 guests for dinner, 500 for assembly/meetings. Rental includes 5' round, 6' and 8' rectangular tables, padded chairs and a big raised stage with multicolored lighting. Included is the full service bar and one bartender.

Regularly Scheduled Event Info

Auxiliary Dinner.  The second Friday of every month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. June is going to be one of the best yet! New York steak, grilled fish & pie a la mode. Not only that, but we're going to have a salad bar as well. We hope to see you there. If you want to help out, please feel free to join us in the kitchen. Please check with Karen Killen for a start time or what you can do to help.

Special Event Info

Bus Trips. July 19-22, we are planning a bus trip to Laughlin as a fund raiser for Cindy and Jill and St. Isadore's Church here in Los Alamitos. Cost is $110.00 PER PERSON, double occupancy. This includes a free breakfast at the Legion on Sunday, the bus trip, tips for the driver, beer on the bus, and your room at the Edgewater Hotel and Casino for two (2) nights. Contact Mary Hernandez at the post for reservations and information. We hope to see you there.

Legion Champagne Breakfast Buffet
This is now one of the biggest meals at the Post. If you haven't been here lately, come on down! Check out our new fruit bar! At the May Breakfast we celebrated Mother's Day, with flowers going to all the moms who were in
attendance. Thanks to all of the terrific helpers who got to the Post at 0730 and did a great job Sunday...NOT ONE COMPLAINT was heard and a whole lot of compliments. A big THANK YOU to all of you eaters for making this event a big success. Please let us know of any requests for a menu change or suggestions. Come early stay late. ( More Helpers Needed ) The June Breakfast is going to celebrate Father's Day, with all the dads getting a little surprise!

Sons of the Legion (SAL)

Next meeting of the Sons will be on June 11, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Come on down and bring your ideas for next year with you. Don't forget that the Sons Steak Dinner is the last Friday of every month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is always a need for more help in the kitchen. After all, the more, the merrier! Let's make this the biggest meal  at the Post. Contact Tom Brown for more information.

American Legion State Convention

This year's convention is being held in Bakersfield, Ca. from June 19 - 22. All delegates must have had their names turned in by June 2. If you have any thoughts or suggestions we should take to convention, please let us know as soon as possible. Contact the Post for who you should talk to regarding this.
